EXO Puncture Protection: EXO is an extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tires. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring the tire's performance remains unaffected. EXO Protection is ideal for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the risk of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tires provide numerous benefits, including the ability to run lower air pressures for improved traction, lower rolling resistance compared to tube-type tires, and a reduced chance of flatting due to the absence of a tube. Liquid sealants should only be used with tubeless road, tubular, and tubeless-ready tires.

DoubleDown (DD): DoubleDown (DD) is Maxxis' casing solution for enduro racing and e-bike use. It combines two layers of lightweight 120 TPI casing material with a butyl sidewall insert to create a highly durable tire with more trail feedback than a Downhill casing tire. DoubleDown tires are marginally lighter than their Downhill counterparts, but the "trail feel" is the key differentiator.

Wide Trail (WT): Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire's tread layout and profile for modern, wider rims. Traditional tires designed around older, narrower rims can create an overly square tire profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but can work well with a range of 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider's preference.
